Vienna Classification

The Vienna Classification, agreed upon at the Vienna Diplomatic Conference on June 12, 1973, and effective from August 9, 1985, comprises 29 categories and is used to classify the visual elements of a trademark—as opposed to the Nice Classification, which categorizes goods and services. It facilitates the search for trademarks with similar visual components.
