Well-Known Mark

Well-known marks are trademarks that are not registered but nevertheless receive legal protection due to their high recognition among relevant audiences. This group comprises those who come into significant contact with goods or services bearing the mark. Thus, it is crucial for well-known marks to have sufficient recognition among (potential) consumers. (§ 4 No. 2 of the Trademark Act)
