Sound Mark

A sound mark is a trademark based on a distinctive sound. This may include jingles that serve as a unique identifier for a brand or other characteristic sounds—such as the “Audi Heartbeat” or MGM’s “Lion’s Roar”—which can be registered as sound marks. However, descriptive sounds or common noises often lack the required distinctiveness.
