SimonGraeser uses modern digital technologies to provide legal services efficiently, precisely and with a strong focus on our clients’ needs. In appropriate cases, this may also include the use of generative artificial intelligence (“GenAI”). Such tools are used with the aim of making our advice even more modern, efficient and forward-looking — and only where we consider this appropriate, responsible and in the best interests of our clients.
The use of generative AI in legal practice
Generative AI may assist us in particular with routine, standardisable or especially time-intensive work processes. This allows us to devote more time to the aspects that are truly decisive in legal practice: strategic analysis, the legal assessment of complex matters and the individual support of our clients.
The use of generative AI never replaces our legal expertise. All content created with the support of GenAI is carefully reviewed by us, legally assessed and tailored to the requirements of the respective mandate.
Data protection, confidentiality and client data
The protection of confidential information, as well as our clients’ business and trade secrets, is of the highest priority to us. We therefore use generative AI only in strict compliance with applicable data protection and professional conduct requirements.
In particular, this requires that our clients’ data is not accessible to third parties, that no storage of such data takes place by the tool or its provider, and that our clients’ data is not used by third parties, in particular not for the further development or training of the relevant tool.
Any use of GenAI is subject to these safeguards and only takes place where the expected benefit objectively justifies its use. Confidential information and mandate-related data are, as a matter of principle, not disclosed to third parties and are not used in an unprotected manner in connection with generative AI.
