Equivalence Marks

Equivalence marks are trademarks that adopt essential elements of an already established mark, giving consumers the impression that the products or services are of comparable quality or value. Due to their close resemblance to the appearance, design, or reputation of the original mark, these marks often lack an independent identity. This may mislead consumers and is regarded as unfair competition or trademark infringement under trademark law.
