Agent Trademark

An agent trademark is one that is registered by an authorized agent or representative on behalf of the trademark owner. According to Section 11 of the Trademark Act, such registration may be canceled if it is carried out without the owner’s explicit consent or against their wishes. The representative is bound by a duty of loyalty regarding intellectual property protection, which can lead to conflicts if the registration contradicts the owner’s rights.
